Domiciliary Care Registered Manager

Prime Appointments are looking for a Domiciliary Care Registered Manager for a service that delivers health and social care services across Essex and the East of England. Our client is a well-established domiciliary care provider delivering care to a wide variety of service users (dementia, complex care, physical disabilities etc.)

Domiciliary Care Registered Manager responsibilities

Overseeing the day-to day running of domiciliary care services.
Leading and managing staff so they can perform their roles safely and to an outstanding level
Overseeing and conducting regular follow-ups and reviews with service users' to evaluate progress, promote continuity of care and ensure improved health outcomes.
Managing and maintaining records of case management activities.
Assess, accept, allocate and process new referrals for care and support promptly
Lead on specific projects, for example setting up a new care contract.
Investigating complaints, taking appropriate action and reporting to Area Manager, Operations Manager, Safeguarding Authorities and/or the CQC
Ensuring that the emotional, spiritual, physical, medical and material needs of the service users are recognised, assessed and met
Managing recruitment, appointment and deployment of all staff and developing good communication with and between staff. Ensuring records are kept appropriately and in accordance with Confidentiality and Data protection legislation
Ensuring that effective induction, supervision and assessment of staff is carried out and that training needs are identified and met
Overseeing/risk assessing service users' homes with regard to health and safety and infection control issues and providing advice to staff regarding safe and healthy working practices in the field.
Ensuring that care workers timesheets are received and processed weekly and that this is completed by head office deadlines.
Ensure all monies received in from service users' are promptly paid into bank and records of monies received
Ensuring that service users are, wherever possible, supported in retaining responsibility of their own money and financial arrangements.Requirements of the role

NVQL5 in Health and Social Care or above or equivalent
Minimum 2 years experience working as a domiciliary care manager or deputy manager
Experience of supervising staff and supporting staff development.
Good understanding of Employment / Recruitment issues.
Understand supervision as supervisee/supervisor
