Our client is the leading Can manufacturer in the country. They are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join their team.
12 hour Continental Shift Pattern
Days & Nights - Monthly alternation
Salary: GBP26782
Essential requirements:
Forklift License
Numerical Aptitude
Computer Literate - Excel essential
Prepare and load pallets of finished goods for despatch, and prepare the necessary paperwork and samples to accompany despatches
Control the transfer of CHEP / GKN pallets using the Pallet Exchange Note and Transfer Advice Note books
Control the supply of packaging items to production thereby ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day production operations
Inform the Warehouse Supervisor of any likely shortfalls in stock (i.e packaging, lubricant etc.)
Undertake the monthly physical stoke-take of slugs, finished goods, packaging, etc, in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor and maintain these stocks in SAP to month end deadlines
Check, unload, and record all incoming deliveries, and to inform the intended recipient of the receipt of delivery
Load and record all outgoing pallets of scrap cans, cardboard, aluminium clippings, scrap pallets.
Ensure visitors to site (i.e drivers) comply with Company environmental, Health and Safety regulations
Provide Banksman duties for all lorries whilst on Company premises.
Ensure that all outgoing deliveries are loaded to Company standards and that all incoming goods are received in good order.
Maintain plant equipment in good order and report any defects for corrective action
Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices at all times.
Maintain accurate records according to Company requirements
Adhere to ISO 9001 requirements.
Constantly look for opportunities to improve the process or product
