Location: Cwmbran, NP44 3AX, South Wales
Salary: Starting at GBP12.50 ph, negotiable DOE: Overtime paid at time and a half
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8am - 5pm / Friday: 8am - 2.30pm

Bench Hand Joiner - About the role:
As a skilled Bench Hand Joiner, you are expected to manufacture and assemble high quality products in a fast paced, pressurised environment whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Duties:
As a skilled Bench Hand Joiner, you will be expected to:
* Be capable of interpreting working drawings and plans.
* Manufacture and assemble timber-based products with little margin for error.
* Cut and shape timber using appropriate tools and machinery
* Keep equipment clean and tidy and report faults. Must be able to work on your own and in a team.
* Work flexibly and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Workshops.
* Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with all Health and Safety at Work Regulations and Codes of Practice, including wearing protective clothing as supplied and to attend all training when requested.
* To carry out any other duties as may be allocated from time to time which are deemed to be appropriate to the post.
Bench Hand Joiner - Person specification:
Required:
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or qualified by experience
* The successful applicant will be experienced in Bench Hand Joinery (ideally with experience of manufacturing staircases).
* Experience of operating various Woodworking machinery and Tools in a Factory Setting
Desired:
* A Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
* Up-to-date driving licence
* First Aid Training
* Experience working on Complex Staircase manufacture and Laminating Curved/Helical Products
* Experience of Bespoke Joinery work
* Trade Relevant CSCS Card
