We are currently recruiting for a Quality Shift Manager for our site in Willand to provide support in ensuring that the site meets all compliance criteria.

At the heart of this, our UK Poultry division produces a third of all poultry eaten in the UK and represents more than half of 2 Sisters' business by sales. The division employs over 9,000 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our production sites are the core to our business, and not only do they keep our business running, but they feed the UK every day. The Quality Assurance Shift Manager will help to keep this key site running in a safe and compliant manner with 2SFG, 2nd and 3rd party requirements and standards.

You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of not only the finished product but the production process, factory environment, adhering to GMP standards and enforcing the site's food safety and hygiene policies.

This role will give you an incredible opportunity to progress within the Technical world, it could be a career within UK Poultry or within the wider business at 2 Sisters Food Group brands such as Fox's biscuits.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

* Review & develop your team of QAs in order to ensure that they maintain acceptable standards of performance, attendance & behaviour and improve their performance against standards & targets, ensuring they are equipped to deliver against all expectations

* Contribute to Internal Audit Meetings, Management Review Meetings, HACCP Meetings, HACCP Review Meetings by communicating any factory floor feedback, findings and implementation challenges to the Technical Manager.

* Ensure that the site achieves and maintains the targeted level of accreditation through customer/legal auditing processes

* To ensure that the site is legally & contractually compliant in all areas and to actively promote hygiene & health & safety, immediately halting any un-safe working practice & taking appropriate action to remedy

* Food Safety Level 3, HACCP Level 3 - Desirable

* Communicate any updates to the QMS to all relevant teams and ensure any new ways of working are monitored continually for effectiveness. Communicate all challenges in implementation of new ways of working to the Site Quality Assurance Manager.

* Identify and follow up on any raw material non-conformances to ensure finished products standards are not compromised. Provide active verification of site intake procedures for raw material and packaging and action any deviations identified as appropriate.

* Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies & procedures

* Ideally experience of a working with demanding retail or similar customer base

* Must have experience within food manufacturing, ideally short shelf life.

* High level of resilience and enthusiasm required, ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
