Guided by experienced colleagues, you'll learn, earn and gain what could be the first of many qualifications on your engineering career journey.
Draken Europe's four year Technical Apprenticeship provides the opportunity for enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious individuals to work within the aircraft maintenance sector whilst studying towards professional qualifications. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship scheme you will become a fully qualified skilled Technician, achieving both a level 3 vocational qualification and, possibly, the qualifications necessary to gain a Civil Aviation Authority Category A or B license. Opportunities are also available to progress onto higher level qualifications if this suits both individual personal development and the current business requirements. Presently there is a need for both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft maintenance engineers. Our main operating bases with requirements are at Bournemouth and Teesside.
Role Summary

On this 4-year programme, you'll work alongside, and learn from some seriously talented engineers. Every day, you'll develop your skills on real aircraft. In a real job. Over a series of rotations, you'll work on all our aircraft, gaining the knowhow to help keep them in perfect working order. You're going to be busy. Alongside comprehensive on-the-job training; you'll be studying towards the qualifications you need to become one of our future Aircraft Engineers.
You'll need the confidence to communicate with people at all levels, and the common sense to act on your own initiative. It can be high-pressure work in an ever-changing business. So, you'll need the flexibility to adapt to different demands, while always putting safety first. As you'll be a valued part of the team, your input will be welcome on everything from process to practice.
