Our client prides themselves on being a great place to work, where everyone feels fairly treated and enjoys their work in a welcoming and friendly environment. They're a not-for-profit housing association that has been providing affordable housing in Luton and South Bedfordshire since 1962.

They outsource their IT and cloud services to a provider who is also responsible for technical support. This role will be the first point of contact, internally, for providing assistance with device management and system housekeeping.

The role will be part of their Finance and Digital Services and will report to the Head of Finance and Digital Services. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the relationship with their outsourced IT and other system providers.

Other responsibilities will include

Developing IT procedures and guidelines and providing training to team members

Technical incident management

*

Initiating and implementing continuous IT improvements in all areas of responsibility.

Managing, monitoring, maintaining, and automating the systems, policies and procedures

Ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems.

Line management of the IT Admin Assistant

*

Supporting the Head of Finance and Digital Services to develop and continuously improve the digital services provision as well as the creation of a roadmap for digital services that will change the service delivery for the better.

They are looking for an IT professional, from an IT support background, with strong networking and system administration skills and with the ability to confidently develop and recommend new systems using the latest technologies.

You'll be creative in finding solutions. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team. You will need to be adaptable and flexible to meet the demands of the services.

You will have excellent working knowledge of IT operating systems, server operations, hardware, Microsoft office products. They are also looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and resolution abilities on a wide range of software, hardware and network issues.
