Our client is an established organisation specialising in supplying products to clients world wide. They are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team based near Glasgow. Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities will include:
Manage the design and development of all new, modified and custom products ensuring delivery to schedule.
Undertake project portfolio management and leadership of all product and process projects within the R&D Engineering department by planning, organising and coordinating design work within projects and reporting their status and progress on a regular basis (monthly) through R&D team meetings, project period reports and plans/schedules (utilising MS Project) to appropriate Group company executive personnel.
Manage the validation & re-validation activities conducted by the engineering department for all new processes, software, equipment, and as required on the implementation of any applicable changes.
Use materials knowledge and expertise in the design and development of product line extensions to source new suppliers required to meet new design and development needs in line with new product development
Manage and maintain all the Project Engineering input into QMS documentation, e.g. DHF's, NCR & CAPA's, and to compile documentation for design history files and technical file dossier submissionsCandidates:
Will ideally be degree qualified in a mechanical or materials engineering discipline
Strong experience of leading and managing projects from initial design through to full scale manufacturing
Will ideally have experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
