Gi Group are currently looking for Check in Staff to work at Portsmouth Ports. This is an exciting time for the Ports with lockdown lifting and cruises around the UK starting in May, lots of passengers are looking forward to setting sale, and we need candidates with fantastic customer service, to make the initial part of their journey one to remember.
The role we are looking for
- Applicants will be responsible for meeting and greeting passengers as they arrive at the Ports
- Checking them in, ensuring baggage is labelled correctly
- Guidance for passengers around the terminal
- Answering customer queries
- Going above and beyond to ensure the customer receives the best possible service.
The ideal candidate will be confident in the following
- Communicating effectively with all guests
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Well presented and willing to abide by the dress code
What we require from you
- Be able to supply 2 years worth of work history and references
- Happy to participate in random drug and alcohol tests
- Ability to provide Right to Work Documents along with 2 proofs of address
Dress Code
- White Shirt/ Black Blazer/Black trousers - ( to be supplied by candidate )
- Safety Boots - ( these can be supplied if necessary )
( the client will provide a high viz, tie or neck scarf to wear also )
These roles initially will be for a 4 hour shift, whilst cruise ships are running at half capacity to ensure COVID restrictions are met, but after lockdown shifts can be across a 24 hour, 7 day week. We are happy to hear from candidates who are available part time and full time as we can offer a flexible approach to days worked.
