Tooling Engineer (Injection Moulding)

* Days 08:00 - 17:00 (Mon - Fri)
* GBP30,000 - GBP35,000
A leading manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Tooling Engineer to support an ever-increasing workload.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the main purpose of the role is to take full responsibility for the toolroom, ensuring the day to day running of the department is adequately resourced to support the Manufacturing KPIs.
Responsibilities as Tooling Engineer:
* Support the management of external tool repairs and costings
* Provide technical support for Tooling and Productivity improvement projects.
* Manage planning & resourcing of day-to-day activities to meet the manufacturing demand.
* Manage tooling issues and report tooling status on open activities
* Continue to support the development of the Toolroom
* Carry out Tooling Modifications
* Ensure all existing tooling is maintained, repaired and modified to enable production requirements to be met
Experience / Qualifications required:
* General Toolmaking Background (Injection Mould Tools)
* Use of Variety of Measuring Instruments including Gauges, Micrometers, Verniers etc
* Able to Read Engineering Drawings
