Telecoms Programme Support Manager, Chorley - Permanent

Are you looking for your next challenge? We are currently seeking Programme Support Manager. We would love to hear from you if you have experience of fibre cable activities on external telecom infrastructure contracts.

You'll be working in a part of Telent that is dedicated to transforming the way support is delivered nationwide to Openreach and other network operators, including Gigaclear. In these extraordinary times of the coronavirus outbreak Telent is continuing to Recruit. We provide services to customers which are integral to providing mission critical systems and infrastructure across the UK and Ireland and we need to continue to deliver those services.

Role Profile:

We are looking for an energetic and professional person to join our Program Management Office team and work as part of the Telent Infrastructure Service team. Telent infrastructure services provides civil engineering services, telegraph pole installation and Cable laying services to telecommunication and infrastructure companies across the UK. Telent complete 1000 orders per day across the UK, each of these orders is organised, scheduled and allocated to our field teams by the PMO. This is achieved by working closely with our subcontractors and Field Based Coordinators to create the most efficient program of works possible and adhering to Streetworks legislation. Keeping accurate records of planned and in progress works is essential as well as identifying and updating any scheduling issues creating an accurate workstack for specialised

Typical Deliverables:

Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines.
Adept in the logistical skills required to produce effective and efficient work programs (Customer, materials, geography).
Able to communicate professionally and effectively.

Must be adept in use of software systems.

Business Operations Skills - Qualifications:

Must have basic numeracy skills, to GCSE standard.
City and Guild NRSWA Coordination of Streetworks or equivalent (preferred).
Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), ability to quickly grasp databases.
