Power Electronics Design Engineer - Cambridge, England
Our client is a major global semiconductor company its products are enablers for the latest power efficient devices such as eco friendly electric cars and bikes, , and LED lighting
We are urgently recruiting a Power Electronics Design Engineer who is expert in SMPS design .
You may be developing power conversion products like phone chargers, power supplies, consumer electronics, household lighting, etc.
You will have a University level qualification in electrical engineering , power electronics or similar.
If you have experience in most of the following areas we will be interested in receiving an application from you:
MOSFETs, SiC / GaN MOSFETs
DC/AC and/or AC/DC inverter systems
Switched mode power converters e.g. buck, boost, bridge, flyback
Power conversion circuit simulation tools e.g. PLECS, SIMetrix, Simplis MATLAB, MathCAD, PSCAD, EMTCD, PSPICE, Simulink etc
Power charging wired and/or wireless charging.
Experience of designing to comply with industry standards e.g. ISO, VDE , DIN , IEC. etc.
EMC compatibility knowledge and experience
Experienced in circuit design, PCB design, and layout of printed circuit boards - ideally Altium DesignerThere is excellent remuneration for the right person.
We also will be interested to hear from candidates who do not meet the ideal profile, but who have UK work eligibility
