V3 are recruiting for a number of IT Support Technicians to work at Multiple MOD sites across the UK.
This position does involve travelling extensively across the whole of the UK and dependent on location could involve staying away from home during the working week.
All Accommodation and transport will be provided.

Level 2 IT Support

This role will be assisting in a Windows 10 implementation at sites across the UK for a minimum of 6 months. This will involve travel and overnight stays on a weekly basis
. Full training will be given to candidates who are enthusiastic to learn and will provide an excellent progression for a career in IT support.

Responsibilities and tasks will include:
??Following all onsite security and health and safety protocols particularly with regard to Covid 19
??Disconnecting and storing existing hardware and cabling following best practice electrical safety and manual handling guidelines.
??Ensuring all cabling and connections are secure and tidy and accord with core safety guidelines.
??Removing all hardware to safe storage.
??Installing port replicators for new laptops
??Assisting users by configuring screen resolution
??Issuing hardware to users and logging on asset tracking application
??Safely disposing of all packaging according to customer instructions
??Assisting users with initial log on and referring them to sources of guidance and training
??Trouble-shooting any snagging issues with cabling or desktop configuration
??Supervising and guiding your Level 1 IT Support colleague
??Responsible for care, operation and daily checks on company assigned vehicle iaw policy.
??At all times providing excellent customer service on client site
??Escalating unresolved customer issues to your Team Leader
Qualifications/Experience:
??Enthusiastic can do attitude
??Some experience with hardware and cabling in a work environment
??Excellent customer service
??Ability and willingness to provide guidance and direction to Level 1 IT Support colleagues
??Full driving licence
??Must meet security standard requirements

??General experience with using computers
??Must be capable of defining a problem and applying a problem-solving methodology
??Must be able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
??Previous customer facing experience (ideal but not essential)
??Keen to learn and willing to help
??Flexible and happy to travel around the UK

Ideally all candidates would have a UK driving license and SC clearance would be an advantage.
GBP11.50 per hour
37.5 hours a week
9am - 5pm Monday - Friday
