The Programmes Coordinator is a newly formed role and will evolve as the new strategy is developed and implemented. The senior Community Centre team consists of four Community Hub Managers and an overarching Senior Programme Design Manager and central services leads of Digital Skills, Befriending and Meals on Wheels. Each Programmes Coordinator is responsible for supporting the welfare of service users attending and for implementing the programming as led by the Senior Programme Design Manager.This post is for 36.25 hours per weekWorking to Community Hub Managers, the Programmes Coordinator is responsible for front line coordination of day services delivered to Jewish Care members.You will be responsible for:* Day-to-day operational coordination of culturally specific Jewish Day service for older people and associated programming and events* Responsibility for the wellbeing, management, development and performance of frontline support, recreational and care staff* Working in collaboration with the Senior Programme Design Manager to coordinate the scheduling of, facilitate and lead activities and programming across service responsibility.* Work collaboratively with programming teams to support assistants to set up appropriate technology to support members taking part in activities at home* Working with the Community Hub Manager, to ensure that new services and programming are implemented and managed in line with agreed standards and KPIs.* Working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to lead safeguarding concern enquiries, follow up appropriately and to enhance the quality of life of older people.* Where required, coordinate and carry out actions as indicated in a person's care plan or associated documents and in collaboration with internal Social Work colleagues, relatives, and external agencies.* Coordinate and participate in the effective and safe delivery of transport services across the older people's services.* In collaboration with the Community Hub Manager and the Administration and Operations Lead, working with facilities management and catering colleagues to ensure that the physical environment and catering services are safe and well run.* In collaboration with the Community Hub Manager and the Administration and Operations Lead, working with colleagues in Jewish Cares' support services on statutory compliance for Health and Safety, transport services, environmental management and building management.* Where appropriate and in partnership with the Senior OT (dementia lead), promote the Montessori approach to dementia care.* Supporting members to coordinate and organise their transport arrangements to and from the centre to include help with booking and managing dial-a-ride, other community transport private hire and public transport.* Working collaboratively to support the Hub Manager specialisms of Community, Digital, Dementia and Programming to ensure that the Community Services team can effectively share best practice and work in partnership to deliver outstanding services that are consistently meeting the needs of our current and future client group.What you will need :* NVQ level or equivalent experience* Minimum 2 years' experience in a coordination role, working with older and/or disabled people* Minimum 2 years' experience of working with people living with dementia in a personal or professional role* Minimum 2 years' people management experience* Experience leading a team of staff and volunteers* Experience working in a complex multi stakeholder environment* Experience of or an interest in working in a co-production culture* Knowledge of the Jewish community, across all levels of observance, local parlance and festivities* Knowledge of The Care Act, The Mental Capacity Act, DOLS and general adult safeguarding best practice* Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations and their practical application in day to day operational work* Skills & Abilities* Ability to work empathetically and respectfully with people of all ages and abilities* High levels of IT literacy in the use of modern business systems e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and cloud-based services and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemsClosing date for applications is Wednesday 16th June 2021Interviews will be held between 17th and 28th June 2021For a full job description for this role please email are a team of many different backgrounds and culturesJewish Care is the leading health and social care charity serving the Jewish community in the UK.
