Land Managers - Housing Development (Home Based)

Midlands - Regional roles covering operational areas

£40,580 - £45,089 per annum

Full Time, Permanent (35 hours per week)

 

People matter here at Platform - We are looking for Land Managers with a passion for regeneration to join us to make a difference to people’s lives and our communities, to help move the great work we are already doing here at Platform to the next level.

 

These roles are home based, but will work throughout our operational areas (specific patches to be confirmed) - please see our localities map attached.

 

You will be part of a growing team and will look to acquire housing development land and support Platform in meeting its growth ambitions by utilising other forms of development delivery.

 

With guidance and support from the Senior Land Manager and Regional Head of Land you will:

  • Oversee and manage planning applications and appeals for your projects to a successful conclusion and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the identification and implementation of joint ventures and partnerships, with local authorities, housing associations, private developers and investors
  • Be responsible for development projects from inception to a physical start on site. 
  • Identify and secure suitable S106, Package Deal and Additionality opportunities.
  • Co-ordinate and prepare detailed bid submissions on behalf of the group. Negotiate and agree terms with developers, intermediaries and landowners.
  • Identify opportunities to drive construction innovation including MMC, Zero Carbon, Multi-tenure product range design and sustainability.

You’ll bring - 

Motivation and diligence. You’ll be eager to work within a progressive and busy land team and will have previous experience in the identification of potential development opportunities through a range of methods. Highly analytical, you will have the ability to interpret information, carry out research, analyse complex data and make sound judgements.

 

Experience of working within a housebuilding organisation is ideal, but not essential.
