Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a Manufacturing processing business based in South Yorkshire who are looking for a Shift Manager to join their team. Reporting directly into the Production Manager you would be responsible for running the site on a day to day basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an international manufacturer with a healthy order book.
The Shift Managers responsibilities include:
- Assist with the efficient and safe running of the department and ensure a quality of service is provided
- Deliver job skills training, supporting the department to create a skilled workforce and carry out performance reviews
- Ensure production outputs are met on time and in full
- Maintain and promote H&S to a high standard
- Liaise with management before making decisions, which affect the overall operation
- Maintain a safe working environment - conduct floor walks, follow up action points, measure housekeeping daily using the correct process
- Make decisions and find solutions - analyse information, evaluate results to achieve the best solution
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of managing teams in a highly regulated safety environment is essential
- Experience of working in a process or chemical environment is highly desirable
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualified would be desirable
- Strong people management, communication and problem-solving skills
- Committed to safety first
