Monday to Friday - 9am-5:30pm
Dynamite Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our Global Leading Logistics client based in Southampton, they are requiring an Operations Manager to join their team whom has experience within an Import, Export, Air Freight, Road Freight or Sea Freight background.
They are considering candidates currently in an Operations Management role or someone in a Supervisor/Management role looking to take the next step in their career.
You will:
Manage and oversee the operations team to ensure smooth running of the team
To oversee the billing, charging, costing and arranging movement of goods and consignments, flow of paperwork to ensure Customs are cleared
Assist and take full responsibility for the full Import/Export processes for all shipments from start through to finish
Liaise with overseas offices, suppliers and agents
Be point of contact for escalations and resolve in a timely manner
Motivate the operations team
Key duties and responsibilities:
Access daily system/internal reports with ease to ensure KPI's are met
Manage and meet required internal and external KPI's
Maintain high levels of customer service at all times
Resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends and recommending system improvements
To keep up to date on regulatory requirements within the shipping industry including customs authorities.
Be responsible for arranging and completing all associated paperwork, which documents the nature of the goods being shipping that are legal and legitimate
Responsible for job costing
Manage company deadlines
Coaching and training of staff
