When developing a mobile app, which one million people are using monthly, quality matters.
A lot.
Too often, companies race to get releases out of the door, buggy as hell and leaving the user with the frustration of waiting for the next update.
Often, it's due to pressure from the non-technical business leaders, and to be crass, profits.
One of the U.K.'s most loved and innovative fitness company bucks that trend, refreshingly, putting quality before profits.
That's where you come in.
You'll help add an extra layer of quality to the team of seven Q.A.'s at a pivotal time in this company's history.
They're now expanding across Europe, the U.S., and Saudi Arabia, which presents challenges in making their mobile app multi-language, multi-configuration, and multi-brand (for the franchisees).
The app currently releases every two weeks, but the aim is to move to weekly releases, which means that the work you do today impacts next week, and you will see feedback very quickly.
Other challenges are updating their CI / CD processes, the transition to using Azure DevOps and better strategies for working with the other teams and stakeholders.
If you do well, there is the opportunity to become a lead engineer as they split their Q.A. team of eight into two teams.
The role will be fully remote, with all the best equipment provided, and then after COVID dies down, it will probably be 2-3 days from home and the rest at their impressive offices.
REQUIRED SKILLSET - Senior C# Software Developer in Test (SDET)
Good experience in testing, building and enhancing automation frameworks for web or mobile apps in C#.
Interest in testing cutting edge mobile apps and a desire to learn.
SpecFlow or/and Cucumber
Building or maintaining CI/CD Pipelines BONUS SKILLS - Senior C# Software Developer in Test (SDET)
These aren't a requirement, and if you don't have them, you will get to learn them.
Xamarin.UITest or Appium
Azure DevOps / TeamCity / Octopus Deploy (CI/CD pipelines)
