SMT GB are an industry-leading distributor of Volvo Construction Equipment. As we enter our next exciting period of growth we're now looking for a motivated and dynamic sales professional to join our North East region in the role of Customer Sales & Support Representative. Working with our amazing clients across the North East in both an account management and new business sales capacity, we're ideally looking for someone based in the Newcastle area comfortable to travel throughout the region. (From the Scottish Boarders to the Lake District).

Reporting to the National Customer Support Manager this role offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious Sales Representative to take the lead in further developing and growing aftermarket sales within this already well preforming region. With responsibility for selling the complete range of customer support products and service solutions SMT GB offer we're looking for someone who's not only great with customers but who's also highly motivated to turn over every stone to increase values and sales, taking performance of the region to the next level. The role will involve:

  • Developing plans for aftermarket business growth
  • Maintaining and growing Customer Support Aftermarket agreements
  • Following up on parts and service estimates created from Engineer report generators
  • Identifying opportunities to increase the participation rates of estimates
  • Leading aftermarket promotions through effective communication
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships whilst seeking opportunities for new business development
  • Monitoring and reporting monthly competitor and market activity

Ideally we're looking for someone with aftermarket sales experience who has worked with a similar heavy equipment customer base before. The position will suit a highly motivated, dynamic service solution sales professional looking for their next challenge and the opportunity to truly make a difference with customers in the North East region.
