This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineer to join a highly innovative electronics technology development company with an option to work remotely ( Working From Home / WFH ), now and after Covid. The company are market leaders in their field, with ground-breaking safety critical motion control technology incorporating proximity sensors, RFID, embedded systems and complex 3D geometry algorithms. The Electronic Design Engineer will be a key member of R&D team responsible for the design of systems that are flexible, extensible and maintainable to enable continuous evolution and introduction of new technologies. Ideally you will have experience in the design of safety critical electronic systems and device.

Responsibilities of Electronic Engineer - Work from home

* Responsible for design and development of embedded controllers, communications devices and sensors
* Define and manage requirements and test cases
* Define requirements for purchased items
* Contribute to system architecture and reviews
* Conduct root-cause investigations, fault finding and diagnosis of test results
* Ensure maintenance of product and manufacturing documentation and processes
* Communicate findings to engineers from different domains with varying experience levels

Qualifications & Experience for Electronic Engineer - Work from home

* BEng / MEng degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or Control Systems Engineering
* Experience designing low power embedded products with micro controllers and sensors
* Experience with taking products through EMC and safety approvals for worldwide markets
* Experience with radio products is beneficial
* Familiarity with embedded C or C++
* Experience of working in a safety critical environment is desirable
* Experience of control system theory beneficial
* Experience with circuit and system simulation
* A structured and methodical approach to problem solving
* Strong collaboration and communication skills
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Energetic, self-motivated team player who excels in developing solutions for complex systems

Location: Home based/Remote working/WFH anywhere in the south of the UK with occasional travel to the Hampshire office.

Salary: GBP40k - GBP60k + Bens
