Experienced AOI Operator/Programmer required for a leading electronics manufacturing company based in Basildon, Essex. Role Specific Requirements: Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)

As an important element of the manufacturing flow of PCB's through the factory, the right qualities will need to be demonstrated to be considered for this role.
Ideally the successful candidate will have a solid track record in this area of the electronics manufacturing industry. This should include, but is not limited to:

* Visual and optical inspection of PCBs for conformance to the correct issue of specifications and drawings

* Inspect printed circuit boards to check the soldering and components are correctly placed, making full use of the appropriate inspection tools including AOI

* Raise appropriate rectification notes where non-conformance is identified and reference these on the relevant documentation

* Ensure that all work is maintained to a high standard

Experience required:

* Previous experience in a similar role is essential

* Experience of re-work and soldering of SMT (surface mount technology) components

* IPC 610 qualified would be desirable

* We will consider candidates demonstrating a high standard of conventional, and, SMT component inspection & rework experience. In this instance full training in AOI will be provided.

* Be able to follow work instructions both verbal & written.

* Be methodical.

* Have good eyesight and colour vision.

* Have suitable fitness levels. While performing the duties of this role, the employee may be required to stand, bend, kneel, twist, reach overhead.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm, Fridays 7.30am - 1.30pm
