Residential Childcare Worker
Are you a support worker looking for a permanent opportunity working within a Children's residential home?
Highbridge Resourcing are recruiting for a passionate and reliable Support Worker who MUST have experience of working with children and young people (preferably in a residential setting, although not essential). This role is available on a full-time basis.
Our client is an independent provider of children's homes and support services for children and young people. It now operates six children's homes providing therapeutic care and support to vulnerable and troubled children and young people from across the county with emotional/behavioural difficulties.
The vacancy is based in Yardley.
The full-time role is 37.5 hours a week. There is shift work involved Monday to Sunday and you will be required to undertake sleep in duties. Sleep in duties equate to approximately 8-10 a month. Shifts are 24 hours including a sleep in and you will be required to do approx 2-3 a week.
It is essential that you have;
* Experience working with children and young people (preferably in residential care).
* NVQ level 2 (Children and Young People)
* Driving license is desirable
* Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to record data accurately.
* Proven experience of handling and dispensing medication.
* The ability to work flexible working hours which includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
* A clean and enhanced DBS
