An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue / Digital to join a world leading, privately owned company who specialise in the design & manufacture of scientific instrumentation based in Cambridgeshire.
As a Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue / Digital, based in Cambridgeshire, working within a small team of skilled design engineers, to supply high quality products and systems. The successful candidate will either have experience of technically managing/leading an R&D team or is looking to take the step into technical leadership/project management. You will be reporting directly into the Technical Director, and this is a fantastic opportunity to progress into management.
The day-to-day responsibilities for the role of Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue/ Digital based in Cambridgeshire:
-You will be playing a key role in the design and development process to ensure the availability of market-relevant products for the future.
-You will be ensuring product design is suitable for efficient manufacturing/service whilst ensuring product quality and reliability.
-Overseeing design criticality for robustness and compliance in regulated environments
- Technically managing the R&D team through various projects.
The previous experience required for this role of Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Analogue / Digital:
-Previous experience of Digital & Analogue circuit design
-Experience of full product life cycle design. So, taking designs from concept to manufacture
-Experience of working in a small team in a broad role, would be beneficial.
- Any experience of PCB design / or working closely with a PCB design engineer(or 3rd party), would be useful but not essential
- Any experience of writing some embedded / firmware code would be beneficial but not essential
- BENEFICIAL: Experience in technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers or the desire to push into a technical lead role.
