Do you want to be part of a collaborative team writing engaging content that covers a diverse range of subjects and answers questions on everything from the latest trending news story, pop culture, the Milton Keynes food and drink scene and the heritage of Milton Keynes?

You will have the hunger to learn, develop and embrace change as our business develops.
You will have a demonstrable grasp of SEO, experience of writing content for search, the ability to identify search trends and a natural understanding of what makes great digital content.
Who we are looking for:
* Successful candidates will have a keen eye for a story and an understanding of what drives audiences
* The ability to identify the topics which our brands can realistically become an authority in on search
* An understanding of how to optimise content to adhere to SEO best practice
* Capable of producing fast and accurate copy to deadlines, and an awareness of writing to different article formats, from explainers to news stories
* Demonstrable ability to come up with original content ideas
* Comfortable in a fast-paced media environment with the organisational skills to plan ahead
* Demonstrable familiarity with analytics tools
* A team player: able to work closely with digital colleagues across the business
* Living on the patch with a great knowledge or the area and what makes people in the region tick
Skills/experience
* Strong track record in producing content that works for search and provides a great experience for readers
* Experience of working in a newsroom, content/marketing agency or on a digital platform
* A strong writer with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* A good understanding of tone
* Experience in using SEO tools such as Google Trends, Google Search Console and Moz
* Previous experience of using a website content management system
* Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practice
* Familiarity with basic photo editing tools
* A good knowledge of media law and the Editor's Code of Practice
* NCTJ qualification or equivalent experience
* A good knowledge of using social media as a means of reaching audiences
* Experience in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Parse.ly
