Highbridge Resourcing is a specialist social care agency recruiting for a leading Charity who supports people with mental health difficulties.As a Charity they offer high quality services that support both recovery and wellbeing and they actively work with people so that they can be in control of their lives
We are recruiting for a full time Helpline and Advice Worker who will be based in Erdington, North Birmingham. The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and the hours of work are between (Apply online only). Shift patterns are 9-5 and 3-11pm and you will be required to work alternate weekends.
As an Advice and Information Helpline Worker, you will be providing telephone support for those experiencing mental health difficulties. The helpline service is aimed at service users and their carers living in Birmingham offering support to people who are experiencing crisis and need to speak to someone face to face.
You will be providing advice and signposting for people calling the Helpline as well as providing face to face support to those accessing other services such as the drop in service.
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
* At least 6 months experience of working either in a voluntary or paid role in the health and social care sector.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good understanding of Equal Opportunities and a positive attitude to people who have experienced mental health difficulties.
* Experience of managing challenging situations and working under pressure.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* The ability to input accurate up to date data on a bespoke IT system.
* You will be flexible in your working hours including availability to work in the evenings and at weekends.
