Senior Systems Engineer - Applications Team

If you have significant network engineer or embedded software engineer experience, this could be the ideal role for you. General Dynamics Mission Systems is looking for a collaborative Senior Systems Engineer to work in our Applications Team on a remote and flexible basis. This systems engineering role comes with a salary of GBP39,120 to GBP48,900.

In this senior systems engineering role, you will work on a wide range of in-service and new products, including Battlespace management and Networks, ensuring that these are developed and maintained in line with the MoD's capability uplift strategy.

If you were already working in this Senior Systems Engineer position, this is what you would have been working on this week:

• Configuring a suite of communications and infrastructure equipment
• Analysing third-party applications for suitability of integration onto communications infrastructure
• Performing trials and tests to establish the characteristics of the proposed equipment configuration
• Documenting all activities for the benefit of technical and non-technical audiences alike

You will also require knowledge of defence standards, preferably with exposure to the UK implementation within the Land Environment Message Set.
