POSITION OVERVIEW

The Deputy Operations Manager is a key part of the Operations Team, crucial to the successful delivery of a competent, efficient and high performing workforce. Your main responsibility will be managing the daily organisation of the operations team. You will manage Team Leaders and Operators at varying levels, responsible for front line HR, staff development and performance management. You will be expected to identify improvements, modify and refine organisational processes in order to ensure continuous improvement in the quality, productivity and efficiency of the operations team, providing clients with the best possible service and outstanding levels of satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management and organisation of operational staff

Health and Safety inductions, ensuring all operators are trained and inducted before work commences - record-keeping of same

Ensuring relevant site, plant knowledge and materials are recorded and information disseminated

Ensuring mandatory training is given and accurate records maintained

Customer contact and account management; generation of customer proposals and associated costings; client reporting

Liaising with clients to fix service dates; arrange staffing, materials, RAMS etc

Creating and updating work plans and associated schedules

Project aftercare and close-out ensuring all relevant paperwork (audit trail) filed

Equipment stock controls, management of inventory

Invoice checking and new equipment listings

Fleet management (ensuring regular vehicle maintenance checks, MOT, service and repairs have been carried out)

KEY APPLICANT EXPERIENCE

Ideally from an engineering (or similar) service industry

Used to managing people remotely, alongside fleet and asset management

Able to multitask and 'juggle' lots of differing priorities

Process-driven management systems

Computer literate and comfortable with keeping audit trails and records

OTHER

Driving licence and ability to travel to client sites across the UK if required

PACKAGE

Salary GBP35-45k, this is negotiable dependent on skills and experience; some of the additional benefits include intensive training on our products, processes and services; Pension; 22 days + bank holidays increasing with each years' service; working hours Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.
