Permanent HR Advisor job available in Greater Manchester

We have a new and exciting new permanent HR Advisor role to join one of clients who are one of the leading construction and facilities management businesses in the UK.

The role is a HR generalist role supporting the NW regions currently 3 locations Ashton-U-Lyne, Stockport and Bolton with the main base in Ashton. There will also be requirements to travel to Gateshead for team meetings (every 6 weeks). The business are currently working remote but plan to go back to office 2-3 days per week from July and the expectation is that this HR advisor will spend predominantly at Ashton where the main NW contract is based and therefor a driving license and own car required. The business have recently gone through some changes and they have decentralised HR on the facilities side of the business and therefor this role will cover the facilities management side of the business approx. 400 employees in NW and will be reporting into Snr HR Advisor. The role will involve high volume ER in a fast paced environment and therefor candidates must be able to handle that and have come from similar backgrounds. You will offer HR advice and be confident to advise and push back to line managers coaching and upskilling them. The role will involve an education piece to to upskill managers and their confidence needs building in terms of their own capability. Recruitment process support - monitoring ATS, but no interview involvement or speaking to candidates, that is line managers responsibility so will involve just supporting with process management. There will be further HR admin support to do all 1st line queries and contracts raising and employee amendments etc. The role will be very much a hands on role for a confident advisor used to pace & volume.

There will be opportunities to become involved in projects but main initial focus is getting a good handle on the day to day support and improving confidence and service to NW customers The person must be progressive and flexible. The business are very much a continuous improvement organisation and you will need flexibility to change. The client also does have TUPE situations so anybody with this experience would be great.

* Previous experience in a HR advisory role is preferred. Likely to have in excess of 2 years HRA experience.
* CIPD level 5+

* Focused and highly motivated
* Planning/prioritising and time-management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent negotiating and mediation skills
* Ability to cope under pressure
* Knowledge and understanding of various sectors of the Group
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
