What will my role look like?

Our L&D Team have an exciting role available for a Digital Learning Designer! As part of the EG Centre of Excellence, you will play an instrumental role in the creation, production and design of digital learning modules/programs for EG Group. Reporting into the L&D Manager you will be responsible for designing and developing high quality, visually stimulating digital content.

You will focus on the end user experience, making sure the platform and the learning content is engaging, effective and simple to access. You will liaise with L&D Managers, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure all learning objectives are met within the agreed timescales.

What would my main responsibilities be?

  • Advise on, create, develop, and design digital content to support organisational programs of work
  • Ability to take complex concepts and break them down to learning segments for digital learning
  • Evaluate learning solutions to ensure objectives are met at an individual, team and brand level
  • Establish a strong digital identity through maintaining consistent templates
  • Liaise with SMEs to understand and translate learning requirements into engaging interactive digital content
  • Update and maintain existing learning materials for all levels
  • Be an EG brand ambassador at all times
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and develop the skills of the L&D Team
  • Support the wider team
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to stakeholders
  • Able to work under strict deadlines whilst producing and maintaining a high degree of quality
  • Must be self-motivated and committed to development
  • Keep up-to-date with digital design technologies, theories and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Do I have what it takes?

  • Strong background in L&D, specifically digital learning design
  • Have a creative eye and be able to apply design skills to all manner of learning interventions e.g. infographics, videos, posters, graphic design, etc.
  • Competent with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360
  • Knowledge and understanding of LMS reporting standards such as SCORM 1.2
  • Understanding of how digital content interacts and works with an LMS
  • Ability to research, design, deliver and evaluate quality learning solutions
  • Great working knowledge of the latest digital and instructional learning theories and methodologies and confident enough to challenge the current offer where necessary
  • Attention to detail with written content including copy and proofing
  • Passionate about delivering high quality and promoting this to the wider team
  • Open and responsive to feedback
  • Ability to communicate and influence for positive outcomes on projects
  • Creative and adaptable approach to design and delivery with a learner-centered approach to design
