As part of our continued growth and development we now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced multi skilled maintenance operative to join our busy aftercare maintenance team on a permanent basis. This team is responsible for carrying out maintenance on new homes which have been built by Rydon Homes and Rydon Construction. Working in a mobile role across the South East in Surrey, Sussex and part of London you will be provided with a company van as part of this new opportunity.

Rydon Homes is our specialist residential development company and has a long history of designing and building high specification homes particularly in the South-East of England.

Job Purpose

Rydon's aftercare maintenance team is responsible for providing customer care for residents moving into new homes/apartments built by Rydon. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance on new homes built by Rydon Homes and Construction during their defects period. During this period residents report any repairs that need to be undertaken during their two year warranty period.

You will provide excellent levels of customer service within occupied properties to rectify any faults or requirements raised by residents. Whilst your primary skill will be carpentry, it would also be helpful for the successful candidate to have the ability to work within other trades such as basic plumbing and/or plastering and decorating. Our goal is to ensure that we undertake repairs to a very high standard, and as such, the role requires a candidate with great attention to detail and a passion for completing high quality work.

This position is full time and permanent. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. You will be supplied with a company van and fuel card.

Experience Required

Previous relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of buildings is essential. The ideal candidate will be an experienced multi-skilled maintenance operative with experience working for a house builder in a similar customer care/aftercare role. As the role is customer facing you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with people confidently. The role is subject to a DBS check as well as needing the preferred candidate to hold a full and valid driving license.
