Learning & Development Officer - Independent Living & Crisis Response
Location: Flexible (able to cover the Wales area on a day to day basis)

Contract type: Fixed term until 31st of December 2021
Hours per week: 21hrs Part-time, x3 days flexible hours with occasional weekend working
Salary: GBP24,000 per annum (GBP14,400 per annum at 21hrs pw)

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Independent Living & Crisis Response team as a Learning & Development Officer on a fixed term basis.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of learning and development programme to ensure that our ILCR teams are able to deliver high quality, person-centred care and support to people in crisis, through accessing high quality learning and professional development including achieving qualifications. You will need a firm understanding of the Health and Social Care agenda, National Care Standards and National Occupational Standards.

Your main responsibilities will involve virtual facilitation of safeguarding training within the IL&CR directorate.

  • You have experience of virtual facilitation
  • Have knowledge of adult safeguarding
  • Have knowledge of H&SC regulatory frameworks and occupational standards
  • Have an understanding of coaching, action learning and other non-traditional interventions (e.g. e-learning, webinars, etc.)

The role of L&D Officer sits within the Independent Living (IL) & Crisis Response (CR) service (IL/CR), which supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services.

Closing date for application is 23.59 on Wednesday the 16th of June 2021 with interviews to follow on 30th June 2021.


Please note due to the context and duties of this role, in line with government guidelines it is not suitable for individuals who are clinically extremely vulnerable or clinical vulnerable to undertake this role.
