Due to expansion the client is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor to be based in the Darlington area. Where they are looking for an individual who can show commitments to their culture, vision, core values and service priorities.
The role will be customer facing where you will be required to work in a team and deliver a comprehensive and competent Occupational Health service as well as working closely with other Boroughs Occupational Health Team to provide cover arrangement and share best practices.
The successful candidate will be able to develop effective relationships, respecting different opinions, views and values and always working towards achieving positive outcomes.
Job Specification:
* Be proactive to the management of sickness absence and developing the OH service.
* You will be required to work alongside managers and HR to manage sickness absence, working closely with OH Physicians and OH Therapists referring complex cases where necessary and Liaising with GPS and specialist for medical reports
* Undertake admin duties associated with OH, wellbeing and clinical duties.
* Undertake health promotion
* Carryout health surveillance
* Coordinate with managers and undertake workplace visits to re-evaluate working practice to avoid any potential health dangers
* Undertake risk assessments and provide advice
* Manage and deliver immunisation programmes
* Working with HR to develop pre-employment screening service.
Qualifications:
* Registered General Nurse
* Degree in Occupation Health, Occupation Health Nurse Certificate or equivalent
* Part 3 on the NMC
* Relevant Occupational Health experience including immunisations, management referrals and health screening
* 2 years post registration experience in occupation nursing
