Production line Night shift supervisor
Preston
Permanent role
Night shift hours between 10pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday
GBP12.60 - GBP13.44 per hour dependant on experience
The role requires an individual with a detailed understanding of the requirements and processes of running a production line. You will need to have a supportive manner and see yourself as an assistant to the production line team leaders and a support to the Operations Manager.
Job responsibilities:
Complete line changeovers as required
Assist production line team leaders to problem solve on their lines
Ensure that the production line team leaders have the correct information about which lines are running when and which products they should be running
Liaising with QA to ensure any rework is completed in a timely fashion using the rework notes
Liaising with QA and Production Planning to ensure any necessary concessions are available for the line leaders
Attending the production meeting and providing the following information:
Daily output and efficiency for the previous day
Major issues causing downtime the previous day
First hour production volume for the current day
The current products being run on each of the lines, and potential changeover times
Conducting a daily handover
Taking ownership for the tidiness and orderliness of all peripheral areas including involvement in the monthly hygiene audit
