Permanent Social Housing Building Surveyor opportunity in Pontypool - GBP35,698

If so, Moxie People is supporting a well-regarded Housing Association based in Monmouthshire as they look to recruit a customer-focused Building Surveyor to join their established Asset Management team.
Working closely with the Asset Manager, the Building Surveyor will support in the delivery of the planned maintenance, cyclical maintenance, Capital works, small improvement works and ad-hoc repairs programs, including:
* Carrying out condition surveys, asbestos surveys, surveys of works and external assets.
* Preparing, liaising with & submitting building control, planning and listed building applications.
* Supervising works in progress by both external contractors and the Association's directly employed staff, whilst monitoring and maintaining administrative systems.
* Providing budget costs for proposed works. Preparing and overseeing the tender process.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant current legislation, including all relevant aspects of health and safety regulations
The successful candidate will have a background in Building Surveying, an understanding of the building project procurement process and experience with construction project costing and cost monitoring.
