Connect Appointments are currently recruiting for an Experienced Dispatch Operative for a reputable Manufacturer client within the Sunderland Area
This role is 3 Months work with the potential for 6 months work for the right candidate
Standard Working Hours are 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday
As a Dispatch Operative your duties will include but shall not be limited to;
Responsible for day to day project handling regarding, working within the Dispatch Team.
Working from drawings, colli, packing lists, also meet the delivery schedule deadlines.
Packing and preservation of cranes for dispatch.
Preparation of all items for dispatch, national and international
Safe/secure packing of items into despatch crates
Loading of items onto wagons
Safe use of chains/slings for loading
Manufacture of wooden frames/stillage's for transport
Preservation and conservation of materials as required
Upkeep of all associated paperwork
Any other duties which meets the employee's qualifications
Observing the drawing specifications when working on the components
Observing the generally valid regulations and standards
Adhere to set deadlines
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times
Working as part of a teamThe ideal candidate will have the following;
Valid FLT Counterbalance
Experience with Overhead crane & slinging
Experience in Dispatch preparation & Loading Operations (Desirable but not essential)
Certificate of IMDG, ADR code regarding Dangerous Goods packing and loading (Desirable but not essential)
Experience and Knowledge on Word and Excel
Full UK Driving licence (Desirable but not essential)Full Training will be provided where required for the successful candidate
