Join our Groupe CAT UK team as we move into our state of the art purpose built new flagship technical centre based at Rockingham Logistics Hub in Corby, where we providing technical services, finished vehicle logistics, fleet and compound management services to automotive manufacturers and fleet operators.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Wheel Technician to join our expanding team within Groupe CAT UK.
The purpose of this role is to prepare wheel for refurbishment and paint the wheels using current paint methods to high standards
For insurance reasons all applicants must have a valid Driver's Licence with less than 6 penalty points and no DR offences.
Overtime paid after 37.5 hours worked
Shift allowance of 33% of basic rate for unsocial hoursKey Responsibilities include
Working in a fast paced, state of the art facility
Prepare wheels for refurbishment
Refurbish damaged wheels in line with manufacturer guidelines
Previous use of Dimond Cut refurbishment equipment
Shot blasting
Sanding of wheels and preparation
Wheel Painting using modern painting products
Competent in removing and fitting vehicle wheels, complying with safety standards
Tyre fitting and wheel balancing
Key Skills
Have an excellent understanding of repair methods, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and specifications
Have 1 -3 years experience
You will be experienced working within the automotive sector with up-to-date wheel refurbishment experience
You will understand repair methods required for this job role
You will have proven experience as an alloy wheel repair refurbisher as well as experience in a similar bodyshop environment. An ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential
