Our client, a South Yorkshire based OEM, seek to appoint a Quality Engineer to support the quality and production engineering teams as new products are introduced. You must have excellent knowledge of ISO9001 and have prior experience working in a highly regulated industry including, but not limited to, aerospace, rail, electronics and automotive. This is a fast paced role where new ideas are encouraged. You need to really enjoy solving complex problems and offering up suggestions for improvements to the manufacturing process and standard ways of working. Experience working in a role where you have built and implemented new systems would be advantageous.
Quality Engineer Role and Responsibilities Quality, ISO9001, IATF16949, Audit, Lean, Process Improvement, 8D
* Covering all aspects of quality with liaison across team members, external suppliers, the management team and customers.
* Utilise SPC to identify and implement quality improvement plans from the data collected
* Use of visual aids to drive quality data
* Utilisation on problem solving techniques across 8D, FMEA and Fishbone analysis
* Support in all QMS related work (ISO 9001)
* Ensure conformance of all documentations to both industry and customer-specific quality standards
* Quality control procedures through non-conformance reports, corrective actions and rejections
* Provide support with inspection processes

* Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, rail, automotive, electronics
* Degree educated in an engineering discipline (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent lean toolkit with a proven track record of implementing said tools
* Excellent problem solving skills including 8D
* Knowledge of ISO9001 (IATF16949 and AS9100 would be advantageous but not essential)
* Natural leader with high emphasis on employee engagement and coaching of quality principles
* Comfortable communicating with all levels
