Overview:
The Digital Marketing Manager will drive the identification and execution of key digital marketing initiatives that will grow the online presence of Ibstock's products and services across the clay and concrete divisions ensuring consistent and on brand digital communications in line with business and marketing strategy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ownership of all digital marketing platforms across the business
- Websites: Ongoing strategy development and implementation for the company's websites for the clay and concrete divisions as well as the corporate website
- Search Engine Optimisation: work closely with web agency on strategy development and execution of campaign SEO on all Ibstock's websites
- Email marketing: plan email marketing nurturing programs with compelling messages, working closely with Heads of Department
- Social media marketing: implement and oversee social media strategy (paid + organic) across the group and communicate this to the organisation
- Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments
- Regularly review performance of Digital Marketing platforms and activities and make recommendations as necessary on how it could be improved/enhanced
- Regular review of supplier performance and make recommendations as necessary on areas for improvement
- Work with Marketing Director - Clay Division and Head of Marketing - Concrete Division to develop KPI's for digital marketing activity
- Attain key performance indicators such as reducing the website bounce rate, increasing dwell time or improving conversion
- Regular reporting on KPI's
- Operate within agreed annual budget commitments
- Additional tasks/duties as required to meet the needs to the business
Key Attributes:
- Business or marketing related degree, preferably with a formal digital marketing qualification.
- Experience of digital marketing in a B2B environment, preferably within the construction industry.
- Working knowledge of WordPress and Umbraco CMS platforms would be desirable.
- Working knowledge of ShowPad sales enablement software would be desirable.
- Self-starter with a can do/take charge attitude and high energy, to fit in with the fast pace and dynamic environment
- A strong track record in direct and digital marketing working closely with sales teams in executing programs that accelerate growth in sales, new customer acquisition and market leadership
- Solid understanding and experience of content development, outreach, online lead generation, web site optimisation, PPC, SEO, social media marketing and lead generation theory and practice
- Strong leader with energy, drive, commitment, adaptability, creativity, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Leadership and people-management skills with the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
- Good communicator with the ability to develop relationships at all levels of the business, with customers and suppliers.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of how to operate MS Office package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
