Job Title: Technical Manager

Contract: 12 month Maternity Cover

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

The company

My client are a thriving food manufacturing business with substantial growth, despite the past 18 months being a challenging time. Based in East Yorkshire, the company manufactures top quality products to a wide range of key customers including the top 4 retailers.

The role

We seek to recruit an experienced and collaborative Technical professional who is a true people manager. You will join the team as the Technical Manager, covering 12 months of Maternity Leave.

You will be responsible for maintaining the technical standards throughout the site with overall accountability for the technical function. You will be responsible for a small team and will report into the Site General Manager.

The person

The ideal candidate will currently be a Compliance Manager, Assistant Technical Manager or Quality Manager who has the desire to become a Site Technical Manager.

You will be passionate about product quality, as well as safety and legislation. You will be adaptable, resilient and must have a proven track record developing and coaching a small team. A background within a chilled food manufacturing business and working with at least 1 of the top 4 retailers would be extremely advantageous.

* Previous BRC experience
