This School is an alternative provision for KS3 and KS4 students based in Hertfordshire; they are looking to recruit a teacher of English to start in September 2021.

The Role:

English teacher to GCSE

Class sizes are between 2 and 5 pupils; the students have either been permanently or are at risk of being excluded from mainstream education, many also struggle with disrupted home lives.

Currently there are 63 students and 45 staff and the ratio in class is either 1 to 2 or 1 to 5

Ideal candidate will;

Have excellent strategies for passing on your knowledge and getting the best outcomes from young learners

Have a calm, patient, empathetic manner

Align with and actively promote the Schools shared values and vision

Have the highest of expectations and aspirations for themselves and others

Consistently strive for excellence in order to ensure that all students are challenged to be the very best they can be

Lead, motivate and inspire others within a culture of respect, dignity and celebration

Be an innovative, creative and strategic thinker

Demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach to working with others

Be highly efficient and effective

Use data to identify and track the progress of vulnerable groups/students

Have excellent leadership and management skills

The ideal candidate must have experience of the current UK National Curriculum!
