MATERIALS BUYER***
We are delighted to be recruiting a tenacious Materials Buyer specifically with experience within a global supply base to join our clients who are currently based in Slough but will be moving to the Farnborough/Camberley area within the next year.
Salary GBP28-35K depending on experience
Key responsibilities for the Materials Buyer include;
Raise and process KF/SP's to meet material plan
Ensure all lower level components are available on time
Work with Expedite team to ensure continuity of supply to the line
Respond to supplier queries/late deliveries
Liaise with Procurement on supplier issues that affect price, quality or significant delays
Root Cause data capture for monthly Operations Metrics
The ideal Materials Buyer will need the following;
Experience of working for an international company
Experience of setting up Kanban and Direct To Line feeds
Ability to overall improve customer OTD
Have excellent written/spoken English
Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Computer literate in MS Office especially Excel
Good working knowledge of MRP
Be willing to travel over three site facility and to suppliers
Experience of liaising with an external supply base successfully
This Materials Buyer position would suit a confident, assertive but approachable person who is up for a challenge and has the ability to resolve problems
