We have a great opportunity for a Project Design Engineer to join the Management team of one of the UK's largest port operators. With a strong electrical engineering background, you will be a Design Engineer who is self-motivated, team orientated and forward thinking. Based primarily at Teesport, Middlesbrough, there will be the requirement to support other facilities within the Group, ensuring compliance with safety standards and relevant electrical engineering codes of practice. Key responsibilities - Project Design Engineer (Electrical)
* Creation of scheme documentation and drawings
* Preparation of technical specifications
* Carry out competitive tenders in line with the company procurement process
* Contract award and management including site supervision and site meetings
* Collation of as-built information and H&S files
* Design of LV small power distribution
* Design of lighting systems both general and emergency
* Survey and condition reporting on existing electrical infrastructure
* Carry out CAPEX estimation as part of the company 5 year financial planning forecast
Personal specification - Project Design Engineer (Electrical):
Essential skills and qualifications include:
* Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
* Driving Licence and own transport
* A proven record of accomplishment in solving electrical engineering problems
* Able to manage multiple projects at once ensuring they are delivered on time and in budget
In addition the following would be advantageous:
* AutoCAD experience
* Working knowledge of CDM
* The ability to carry out manual cable calculations as well as software design
* 18th Edition IET Wiring regulations
* Knowledge of working with HV equipment up to 11Kv
