Key Responsibilities

As Nurse Clinical Service Manager, you will support the Home Manager to ensure the highest achievable standards of care are delivered to residents whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures and that all nursing and care practices are evidence based and reflect current trends.

Provide leadership on all issues relating to clinical excellence
Work within the defined Company policies and procedures
Coordinate staff to ensure that effective nursing and care services are provided
Meet and maintain quality standards
Monitor data and outcomes in relation to clinical governance
Ensure clinical outcomes are evidence based, recorded, measured and reflect current trends
Maintain and develop an environment that supports staff in development
Work 'on the floor' with the staff and lead the nurses and care staff by example, including mentoring and teaching staff, conducting supervisions as required, auditing processes, and reviewing medication (storage and administration), resident care plans and risk assessments
Support the Home Manager with their role and tasks where necessary in order to ensure the smooth and effective running of the home
Work with the Home Manager and deputise for them in their absence
Be a role model to all other staff working within the home and help to create an open, positive and inclusive atmosphere
Liaise with external stakeholders, such as GP's, local authorities, the CCG, SOVA team and CQC
Adhere to National Minimum Standards, CQC guidance and all relevant legislative requirements
Other areas you will be required to assist in managing include HR, Health and Safety, facilities and maintenance, marketing and bed enquiries, resident assessment and fee negotiationsExperience Required

Right to live and work in the UK
Qualification as Registered General Nurse (RGN)
Hold valid and current NMC registration and pin number
People leadership experience
Knowledge of the care standards and other regulatory bodies (e.g. CQC)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Be able to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and key professionals
A passion for elderly care and clinical excellence
Experience providing nursing care in an elderly setting is desirable, but not essentialBenefits
