Due to further expansion, we are looking for a talented and ambitious General Manager with a solid food production background to develop and support the operations of this niche food brand.

We're looking for a talented, ambitious individual to lead this area forwards; developing the team, driving growth, increasing turnover, and turning this already successful brand into the major contributor that we know it can be.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially driven professional who loves the food industry and would like to develop their career and expertise.
Job Description
* Tactically and strategically take responsibility for the day to day running of business operations and staff management
* Identify and implement new business opportunities, product development and increase client base - working closely with the Managing Director and Leadership Team.
* Alongside the commercial responsibilities, you'll need to develop your team, nurturing talent and developing new capabilities to enable the business to grow.
* Work closely and oversee production to ensure all technical aspects, quality control, compliance, EHO requirements and health and safety standards are being met rigorously.
* Prepare and implement a comprehensive business plan in conjunction with the Leadership Team.
* Prepare and manage sales forecasting and company projections.
* Oversee marketing activity and drive digital marketing and online presence
* Take charge of procurement and buying activity.
* Assess infrastructure, systems and processes across the whole of the business and make improvements.
* Handle problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
Requirements
* We're less concerned about specifics and decades of experience than we are about cultural fit, ambition, and passion for this great opportunity.
* The ideal candidate is someone who comes from a food or farming background or similar who is passionate about food production
* Ideally, you will have a background in food to enable you to successfully grow the business and understand the supply chain challenges that come with fresh produce!
* What we are looking for is someone who is able to lead the team, providing leadership to encourage them to achieve the best they can to support business growth.
* An understanding of technical requirements and legistlation.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Innovative, Creative, 'big picture' thinker
Highly Desirable:
* Experience within technical management or relevant qualification
* Business Management qualification or similar
* Experience within food manufacturing and/or artisan food production
