Job Role: HGV Mechanic
Contract Type: Full time / permanent
Shift rotation: Monday - Friday - 07:00 - 15:30 / 11:00 - 21:00
Hourly rate: GBP15.17 - GBP17.14 + Overtime
My client, a specialist commercial vehicle service and maintenance business with depots across the UK is actively seeking to employ a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic for their depot in the Abingdon area.
Working on a wide variety of modern commercial vehicles the successful HGV Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance, duties to include;
Vehicle Inspections
Correction of running defects
General Servicing
Diagnosing of vehicle faults
MOT preparation
Road testingThe client is looking for fully skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ). A Commercial Vehicle Driving Licence would be ideal for this role, however my client is willing to consider an HGV Mechanic with a full car licence.
The working hours of this exciting HGV Mechanic role will be from 07:00 - 15:30 / 11:00 - 21:00 - MONDAY - FRIDAY, one week of earlies and one week on the back shift The basic hourly rate of pay for this role will range from GBP15.17 - GBP17.14 per hour, overtime is available and will be paid at an increased rate.
