The opportunity has arisen for a Materials Technician to join the lab team in Cheshunt the purpose of the role is to conduct various testing and evaluation of construction materials, in process samples and finished products, reporting and maintaining samples.
The Materials Technician will be responsible for
The sampling, testing and evaluation of construction materials, in process samples and finished products
To deliver on multi-disciplinary projects where material testing is required.
To prepare all materials necessary for the completion of required tests
To conduct and assist with site and laboratory testing in accordance with appropriate national standards
To record the results of these tests and various other calculations accurately using, where
appropriate, the laboratory's computerised information management system.
To ensure reports are accurate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence
To maintain and clean site and laboratory equipment to ensure its correct performance
The Materials Technician will have
Minimum GCSE qualifications, grade A-C in maths, English and science
Minimum 1-year experience in materials testing
Good communication skills (written, spoken and interpersonal at all levels of the business)
Solid IT skills
