Care Home Manager

Our client operates a small care home in Forfar, and they want to ensure that a safe and caring environment is provided for everyone who lives there. But more than that - they want to ensure that their residents are able to live their very best lives in surroundings which provide comfort, inspiration, and engagement

We have been asked to find a strong, positive, and passionate Manager for this home, someone who can use their experience to manage the home and staff to provide the best possible care.

The home has a history of underoccupancy, average grades and poor investment, but now under new ownership, there is a significant program for development and improvement for the home, and as the new manager, you will be a crucial part of delivering the very positive changes and realizing the inspiring vision and plans for the home

This is a really exciting time to join this vibrant and young company and part of your role will be to raise the profile of the home within the local community, and make this the home of choice for older people in the area

If you would like to be considered for this exciting role, you will need to have

* An NMC registration or a minimum of SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care

* A recognized Managers Award

* Experience in a similar environment

* At least 2 years experience at managerial level (Deputy or Manager of a Care Home)

* Experience of marketing a home

* Experience of project management

You will need to be

* A resilient leader, with excellent communication and networking skills

* Able to evidence progression of a Service you have managed

* Completely aware of Care Inspectorate regulations, and be able to reflect these in the policies and procedures that you put in place

* Able to improve the quality of life for people in your care

Caring for predominantly frail elderly people, who have varying degrees of dementia, you will be able to build your own team of professional and committed staff to deliver the very best levels of care and support for your residents with passion, knowledge, and consideration
