We are looking for an Electrical Automation Engineer to join our TPG Maritime Ltd team in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team, who are working on sharing innovative solutions or manufacturing bespoke engineering systems.

The Role

This Electrical Automation Engineer position sits within our bespoke engineering solutions side of the business, where we develop life-support systems in critical workspace, oxygen and carbon capture based solutions, water purification, rugged electronics for harsh environments and precision engineering of high-integrity equipment.

We are looking for this Electrical Automation Engineer position to contribute to the design of electrical/electronic control systems and ancillary equipment for process plant, and to provide electrical support necessary for manufacture, test and maintenance in-service. You will be responsible for delegated technical aspects of design and for meeting demands of finance and timescale, whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met. You will participate in the decisions for the design during the production of projects, including checking. You will be responsible for engineering designs and production of documentation for hardware and software control systems.

About You

To deliver this role you will be required to have an HND or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, with experience of working on electrical systems and manufacturing processes. You will have a background in designing and working on PLCs/ Automation controllers, both hardware and software aspects, ideally in a highly regulated environment. You will have experience in delivery through your engineering, planning and stakeholder management skills.
