We are currently working with a fantastic privately owned Scarborough Hotel that due to levels of trade are looking to recruit a FOH Receptionist to be the face of the business. Ideally you would have Hospitality experience and have worked to some degree in a similar position, but they are looking for the best fit for the business and training will be given for the role. The role would involve Hospitality hours which would mean shifts that include mornings, evenings, weekends & Bank Holidays, and you would be expected to work over the Christmas period. This role is ideal for Scarborough based candidates using public transport to get to the South side of Scarborough or someone who has their own transport.
The Hotel boasts over 60 rooms and has a restaurant, bar & lounge and a gym and swimming pool. It is located on the South side of Scarborough and is easily accessible for public transport for candidates
Reporting to - Business Owner
Main Responsibilities:
Dealing with room enquiries over the phone/email and in person
Dealing with gust enquiries from their rooms and front desk
Checking in guests, handling bills and payments of the guests
Been part of the FOH team that deliver a 1st class service
Handling cash and taking credit card payments
Adhering to COVID restrictions and making sure guests are aware of these around the hotel including pre orders for food
Undertaking any other duties as reasonable to the role and in support of departmentRequirements:
Hospitality Experience
Administration experience
Good local knowledge
Be computer literate with use of room reservation systems
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own on front deskBenefits - As with any Hospitality role you would be expected to work different shifts including (phone number removed)pm/(phone number removed)pm and on occasions (phone number removed)pm. You would benefit from hourly pay of GBP9.60 per hour to start on but this would then be reviewed having the possibility to increase. You would also benefit from meals while on duty, share of tips, private healthcare, and bonus on certain months along with gifts at Christmas.
