This is a great opportunity for you to join one of the UK’s most trusted social housing providers.
Our client owns and manages 30,000 homes across the West Midlands, including diverse communities from urban tower blocks to rural villages and towns; but they provide more than housing – their homes are a foundation for life.
They are proud to be an organisation which deals directly with the consequences of their housing crisis by providing homes for people who can’t access them on the market.
They are a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity. All the money they make goes back into improving their homes and services and building new homes so that they can help more people.
Working for our client not only offers you the chance to work for an award-winning, big-hitting organisation in the West Midlands, it gives you the opportunity to work for an organisation with a heart and a clear social purpose.
It doesn’t matter which function you work in, being part of our team will give you the chance to play your own part in making a very real difference to people’s lives.
To join them you will have the ability to take ownership and responsibility for delivering a consistently high level of service within your team and across the business as a whole. You’ll be positive, optimistic and solutions-focused in everything you do even in the face of challenges, and you will believe passionately in the social value derived from delivering outstanding services to their customers and colleagues.
They are looking to recruit an Income Team Leader to lead a team based in Worcester and Birmingham.
This post is responsible for managing the delivery of a high quality, customer focussed income collection service at both sites.
- The successful candidate will have proven experience of:
- Income management and arrears control – to oversee the day to day delivery of a proactive income management and arrears control service, with a focus on customers sustaining their tenancies or leases and to ensure business plan and local performance targets are achieved
- Delivering effective performance management and motivation of staff team, excellent team performance and valuing each individual contribution to team achievement.
- You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to both social housing sector and leasehold service charge management and be able to effectively gather, analyse and use information and critically evaluate options and solutions.
- This is a pivotal role within their Income Team. They are keen to hear from applicants who can either demonstrate experience in a similar role or who are highly motivated and want to progress to a full-time managerial role.
So, if you think you have the technical know-how and can demonstrate the people skills they’re looking for, they really want to hear from you.
They are committed to diversity and inclusion, encourage flexible working where appropriate and positively welcome applications from everyone.
They are committed to protecting people’s health, wellbeing and human rights. They adopt a proactive approach to safeguarding and do everything they can to make sure all individuals accessing their services can do so without fear of harm, abuse or neglect. They have policies and procedures in place to try to make sure the people they support are protected from harm and as part of their recruitment process they carry out robust safeguarding checks.
