The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Craft Apprentice to join our team at British Gypsum, based in Penrith. This role is predominantly 8:00-16:00, but there may be the requirement to work shifts on occasions. Carry out tasks related to the engineering mechanical trade, under the supervision of a qualified tradesman/instructor and consistent with apprenticeship year level. Attend off the job training to complete learning and assessment outcomes required for the engineering mechanical trade apprenticeship.
What are we looking for?
3 GCSEs above level 4 (C) (including mathematics and science or another technical subject) or a qualification in engineering would be an advantage

Communication and organisation skills
Confident to give direction to individuals, regardless of their seniority with in the businessWhat will you be responsible for?
Driving a safe and sustainable environment
Creating a culture that supports continual development of credible experts
Support the manufacture of products in accordance with ISO/EN standards to continually satisfy customer needs
